Virginia Wright-Peterson is the author of three finalists for the Minnesota book award. Each one reveals little known stories of courage, innovation, and resilience including women who made significant contributions during World War II and the founding of Mayo Clinic.She strives to blend meticulous research with vivid stories that reveal the inspirational and courageous actions of everyday people. Virginia also believes that stories – whether rooted in family, community, or landscape – hold the power to connect and strengthen us.  She served as a Fulbright Scholar in Algiers, Algeria, and worked with the Red Cross on a U.S. military base in Iraq. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to social justice, she focuses on untold stories that provide provocative perspectives on what we thought we knew.
